"Bman76 (no it doesn't need a WS6 hood) M. Arch" (bman76)

(edit: got a call, interview at 9AM) I don’t know if I’m supposed to be headed to Wichita or not? I have to leave today if I want to be there tomorrow. 205gti for your time.
I love how cleanly designed these little cars are.
And these wheels are just right.
Also, this comic pretty well describes when my friends and I go to a new restaurant.

They give you a phone number to call? I find it easier to call cause then you can get instant feedback.

I’ve never been able to figure out if I like the RCZ or not, it’s like a melted Audi TT.

There was one on sale near me recently but no thanks. Too expensive and they can have issues.

And you may find yourself
Living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself
In another part of the world
And you may find yourself
Behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house
With a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, well
How did I get here?
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Water dissolving and water removing
There is water at the bottom of the ocean
Under the water, carry the water
Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean!
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again in the silent water
Under the rocks, and stones there is water underground
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go to?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? Am I wrong?
And you may say yourself, “My God! What have I done?”
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again in to the silent water
Under the rocks and stones, there is water underground
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money’s gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Look where my hand was
Time isn’t holding up
Time isn’t after us
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
Letting the days go by (same as it ever was)
Letting the days go by (same as it ever was)
Once in a lifetime
Letting the days go by
Letting the days go by

Pre-2013 facelift, right color: Yes please!
And according to the automotive press...
Things look pretty good when you compare it to its rivals, too. The Audi TT is dull to drive and quite aged now, while the Mini Coupé JCW 1.6 is nowhere near as finessed as the Peugeot.
Produced at Magna-Steyer in Austria: What’s not to like?

I have just the one. A red 1.6 GTi with those wheels, with the new dash (1988+) and the old lights (-1991). They’re really great cars to drive. Come on over and you can have a spin in.
I was at a Peugeot 205-specific junk yard today, for parts for my second 205 (a CTi; the convertible GTi, which will get a turbo motor). I might create a post about that on Oppo later.

Awesome! I love the red cars most, but the white cars are okay too.

That E28 still has its European headlamps! Those are worth a couple hundred bucks here.

Well, it’s in Europe. What else would it have? But really, a couple hundred? Would could start a business :)

It wouldn’t have anything else, of course, it just surprises me that every single one of those isn’t stripped of its Euro (well, RoW) bits the instant it enters the yard, because it’s pretty easy money over here.

This is a Peugeot 205 specific place. In that picture you can see at least 9 Peugeot 205s and one 306 (which has parts that can be swapped into a 205). Their business model is stripping the cars and selling the parts, while also and working on running 205s.I needed two (yes) very specific transmissions and some other specific trim related parts, and they had it all. In stock.
I have no idea what that BMW was doing there to begin with. No one looking for BMWs would go there. Furthermore, this was the pile of cars that were basically scrap metal. They were done with them. I only got that front end there because it was easily accessible and rust free.

Wish we had yards like that here, that’s amazing.
